It’s a known fact that mosquitoes are attracted to the
carbon dioxide released from your body when you exhale or
perspire. They sense it from great distances.Mosquitoes can
also carry West Nile Virus and other life threatening diseases. The
only known protection from these diseases is to not be bitten.
That's why we created the DeBug™
Insect Repellent Patch. |

West Nile Virus
Biting insects are a nuisance to everyone who enjoys the great
outdoors. Although often viewed as an annoyance, they now
become a serious and potentially life-threatening problem
with the arrival of mosquito-borne illnesses such as West
Nile Virus. In 2003 alone, more than 9,800 human West Nile
Virus cases were reported. The main source of human infection
with West Nile Virus is through the bite of a mosquito. The
virus gets into the mosquito's salivary glands. Then, when
mosquitoes bite, the virus is injected into humans, where
it causes serious illness. In fact, as of July 2005, human
cases of West Nile Virus have been reported in the 47 states
below. |
